NOW GmbH has been supporting the German government in its climate and industrial policy goals since 2008. Originally founded to coordinate the National Innovation Programme Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP), NOW GmbH has significantly expanded its portfolio over the past 18 years. Today, its technological remit covers the areas of hydrogen, batteries and renewable fuels – both in terms of drive systems and fuels as well as infrastructure. Since December 2019, the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure, under the umbrella of NOW GmbH, has been driving the expansion of charging infrastructure in Germany forward.
