On 16 October 2025, the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) invited representatives of the logistics industry to Hamburg for a regional exchange on climate-friendly commercial vehicles. At the kick-off event of the new “BMV expert dialogues on a local level”, series, freight forwarders and logistics companies from a specific region have the opportunity to share concrete experiences with the switch to climate-friendly commercial vehicles, discuss challenges and develop perspectives for the conversion of their own vehicle fleets. A key topic at the event in Hamburg was the thorough and precise planning of the charging infrastructure at the depot.
Among the day’s highlights were the practical report and tour of the premises of logistics company Buhck, which gave a first-hand account of its fleet’s transition to battery-electric vehicles. Participants gained valuable insights into the approach to fleet conversion, were able to ask questions and took away practical tips for their own implementation.
In addition to practical experience, representatives from the BMV, NOW GmbH and the Hamburg-based electric mobility agency hySOLUTIONS provided information on planned funding programmes, political framework conditions and strategic initiatives at federal and state level that support the transition to climate-friendly mobility.
Further events are planned in various other locations, including Baden-Württemberg and Hesse. The next dates can be found on the (German language) website klimafreundliche-nutzfahrzeuge.de.
Take advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas with industry colleagues and gain practical insights for your journey towards climate-friendly logistics.
