The anniversary location is located at Wiedenbrücker Straße 12 in Gütersloh. A so-called M-location with four fast charging stations and a total of eight charging points has been put into operation there. The charging park is located adjacent to a petrol station south-west of the centre of Gütersloh. The charging stations are covered and the adjoining petrol station provides access to sanitary facilities, a shop and a car wash. The high charging capacity of up to 400 kW enables short charging times and makes the location attractive for both local residents and those passing through.
Federal Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder: “200 charging parks opened across Deutschlandnetz not only signify additional charging infrastructure, they are also part of a new everyday mobility. Our goal is clear: fast charging anytime, anywhere. With the Deutschlandnetz, we are creating a comprehensive fast-charging infrastructure in cities, rural areas and on motorways. We are building trust in electric mobility among users and vigorously promoting climate protection in transport.”
Martin Heine, Account & Partnerships Lead: “The collaboration with our location partner in Gütersloh was excellent in every respect. Equally positive was the constructive and solution-oriented cooperation with the local network operator and the entire project team, which contributed significantly to the success of the project.”
At the same time, Allego opened another Deutschlandnetz location in Eschweiler, North Rhine-Westphalia (Indestraße 4). The charging park there is designed as an L-location and has six fast-charging stations with twelve charging points where electric vehicles can be charged simultaneously, as well as a drive-through solution. The charging park in Eschweiler is centrally located in the city, close to restaurants and a shopping centre. With these two new locations, Allego is making an important contribution to the implementation of the Deutschlandnetz and, in particular, strengthening the comprehensive fast-charging infrastructure in North Rhine-Westphalia.
With the Deutschlandnetz, the Federal Ministry for Transport (BMV) is creating 9,000 additional fast-charging points for electric cars at more than 1,000 locations. The aim of the Deutschlandnetz is to enable fast and reliable charging wherever people are on the move – in cities as well as in rural and suburban regions and along motorways.
Dagmar Fehler, CEO and spokesperson at NOW GmbH: “This anniversary is a strong signal for the ramp-up of electric mobility in Germany. It shows how planning is turning into concrete charging points – visible, usable and reliable for people on the ground. Together, the BMV, the eleven operating companies and the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure are creating a network of ultra-fast charging options that will strengthen electric mobility in everyday life and the regional economy, not only as today here in Gütersloh but throughout the whole of Germany.”
The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure supports the implementation of the Deutschlandnetz on behalf of the BMV and under the umbrella of NOW GmbH. It is particularly responsible for demand planning, testing technical requirements and data monitoring at the locations.
