NaKoMo – National Competence Network for Sustainable Mobility

The National Competence Network for Sustainable Mobility (NaKoMo) is the central point of contact for sustainable mobility issues. NaKoMo brings together experts from the federal government, states, and municipalities with relevant stakeholders from all over Germany. This is where exchange, synergies, and solutions for the mobility of tomorrow are created. Whether innovative projects or proven measures – the network informs and inspires the implementation of modern, sustainable mobility concepts.

NOW GmbH supports the Federal Ministry for Transport (BMV) in setting up and expanding the network and in operating the office. It conducts events and provides editorial and content support for the digital exchange platform.

NaKoMo was founded in 2019 and has since been a central point of contact for knowledge transfer and cooperation. The office is located in the Federal Ministry for Transport (BMV), in the department for sustainable urban and rural mobility, digital municipal transport systems.

Only representatives from the federal government, states, or municipalities can register on the digital exchange platform. In addition to practical examples, interested parties can find topic-specific working groups on the platform or can get in touch with each other via NaKoMo events.
