Funding for Climate-Friendly Commercial Vehicles
To ensure that commercial vehicles with climate-friendly drive systems quickly become economically competitive, companies that dare to make the switch can receive support. Funding programs at the federal and state levels for the procurement of emission-free vehicles and the development of tank and charging infrastructure help with the transition.
The ruling of the Federal Constitutional Court on the Climate and Transformation Fund of November 15, 2023, and the resulting need to consolidate the budget, mean that not all important projects and initiatives of the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) can be continued to the extent planned. This includes the funding of climate-friendly commercial vehicles and associated infrastructure through the KsNI funding directive. The approved projects of the directive will be financed on the basis of the 2024 budget. Funds for a new call for proposals are not available.
