HIFOIL

In the predecessor project PreCoil, the feasibility of vacuum-free, resource-saving and industrially viable coating processes for the production of metallic bipolar plates and formable continuous metal foils was successfully demonstrated. In HIFOIL, industrially usable coating and manufacturing processes are being researched and developed, which enable an increase in productivity by a factor of 20 compared to the currently existing manufacturing processes on a laboratory scale. A demonstration plant will be developed to prove that the coating process can be industrialised and is economically competitive.
