Federal funding for charging infrastructure

The “Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles” funding guideline will further boost the establishment of a nationwide demand-driven charging infrastructure for battery-electric vehicles in Germany. The BMVI is funding the construction of at least 15,000 charging stations in the amount of 300 million euro by 2020. 100 million are allocated for regular charging up to 22 kW charging capacity and 200 million for fast charging from 22 kW upwards.
