e4ships & Zero-Emission Shipping Symposium

World shipping handles 90% of global goods transport and is responsible for around 3% of global CO2 emissions. In this context, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the European Maritime Safety Organization (EMSA) have adopted binding CO2 reduction targets. This sends a strong signal to shipyards, shipping companies, energy suppliers, engine manufacturers, classification societies and the supply industry to invest even faster and more heavily in alternative propulsion technologies and green fuels in the future.

On the occasion of the established world’s leading trade fair for the shipping industry, SMM, we would like to present selected maritime demonstration projects with alternative propulsion systems and fuels and discuss measures in the context of zero-emission shipping.
